Canada qualify for men's T20 World Cup 2026
Canada beat Bahamas by seven wickets in the Americas regional qualifying finals in Ontario to qualify for the men’s 2026 T20I World Cup. They became the 13th team to qualify for the tournament. After being asked to bat, Bahamas were bowled out for a small total of 57 runs, with Canada’s Kaleem Sana and Shivam Sharma returning with three wickets each.
Later, Canada chased down the target in just 5.3 overs after Dilpreet Bajwa slammed 36 off 14 unbeaten. Meanwhile, other teams to have already qualified for the showpiece event are India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, England, Australia, Bangladesh, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, USA and West Indies.
