“It's quite heartbreaking”: West Indies skipper Roston chase after team's heavy loss to Australia

Australia sealed a memorable 176-run win against West Indies in the third Test, folding the hosts for 27 in their chase of 204 to complete a 3-0 series whitewash. Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland took six and three wickets, respectively, to skittle West Indies for the second-lowest score in the history of Test cricket.
Australian pacers made light work of the West Indies' star-studded batting lineup, ripping through it and bringing the proceedings to a disastrous end for the hosts on day three at Sabina Park in Jamaica. Chasing 204 to win the third Test, West Indies were bowled out in just 14.3 overs, with all of their hard-hitting batters failing miserably. Speaking on the horrible end to the series, West Indies skipper Roston Chase described it as “heartbreaking” and “embarrassing”.
"Obviously, It's disappointing. We've been putting ourselves in positions to win games, and then we just lay down and not put up a fight in the last batting innings. It's quite heartbreaking, because I think we did it in all three Tests, and we're not really learning from our mistakes. So that's something we have to really look at,” Chase said after the game.
"Obviously being bowled out for less than 30 is quite embarrassing. Something you don’t want as a team but it’s beyond now. So we just have to try and improve from here,” he said.
Chase felt that the total was quite gettable given a good batting wicket.
"I thought it was realistic. I mean, the wicket was a good wicket, still a good batting wicket. I didn't think there was too many devils in the wicket, like the last two games where the ball was rolling or bouncing inconsistently. So yeah, we thought 204 was quite gettable. But then, obviously, with the start and stuff being [11 for 6] or something like that, it's very difficult to really get those runs from there,” Chase said.
