West Indies name squad for Australia T20Is

West Indies have named a 16-member squad for their upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia at home, beginning on July 20 in Jamaica. They have handed maiden T20I call-ups to Jewel Andrew and Jediah Blades.

Shai Hope will be leading the squad that also includes Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph and Rovman Powell. Notably, Andre Russell will only be available for the first two games as he will retiring from international cricket following the second T20I. 

“Our goals and strategic plans are aligned to winning the T20 World Cup in 2026. We have continuity in the squad from the previous series and as a unit we will continue to fine tune our style and brand ahead of the World Cup,” West Indies head coach Daren Sammy stated.
