England have unveiled their playing XI for the fifth Test match against India beginning on July 31 at The Oval. Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the fifth Test due to a shoulder injury, with Ollie Pope set to captain the side. Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse and spinner Liam Dawson will also be missing the final Test.

Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue and Jacob Bethell have been named in the playing XI. All-rounder Jamie Overton, who was recently added to the squad, has been named in the playing XI. Chris Woakes has been retained and will lead England's bowling attack. The final Test is very important for both teams because a win for England will help them claim the series, while a victory for India would help them draw the series. Currently, England lead the series 2-1.
