Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has finally broken his silence after being left out of India's squad for the Asia Cup. Despite an electric run of form and a meteoric rise through the franchise circuit, the talented batter was overlooked for the marquee tournament. Jaiswal, who has become a household name for his explosive strokeplay and fearless attitude at the crease, opened up about being snubbed for the big event. Despite the snub, Jaiswal remains undeterred and continues to focus on his performance. India's squad for the Asia Cup is stacked with power hitters like Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Shubman Gill, as selectors opted for a mix of experience and firepower.

“It’s all in the selectors’ hands. They look at it from a team combination point of view. I’ll keep doing my thing, and I know my time will come. Till then, I’ll keep working on myself, developing myself,” Jaiswal said In an interview with Mashable India.

Jaiswal has played 23 T20I matches for India, scoring 723 runs at an impressive strike rate of 164.31 and an average of 36.15. He has slammed five half-centuries and one century in the format. Meanwhile, rather than dwell on missed opportunities, he's channelling his focus into the future. Notably, for Jaiswal, whether it was his rapid-fire knocks in the IPL or his standout performances for India, he has consistently made headlines for his marvellous batting.

Talking about India's campaign at the Asia Cup 2025, they have been unbeaten so far, winning all of their group stage matches. India have qualified for the Super Four, and they will take on Pakistan on Sunday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
