Pakistan’s top cricketers have reportedly been granted permission to take part in the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) season. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for players contracted with BBL franchises, easing fears that they might miss out on the tournament due to an earlier suspension of overseas participation.

Earlier, PCB had temporarily suspended NOCs for overseas T20 leagues following Pakistan’s narrow defeat to India in the Asia Cup final held in the UAE. However, the board has now allowed the selected cricketers to fulfil their BBL commitments.

The 15th edition of the Big Bash League is set to run from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026, featuring 44 matches across Australia. Seven prominent Pakistani players are lined up for the season. The top stars include Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Ali, and Hassan Khan. There is huge excitement building up to the start of the BBL as Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam is set to make his BBL debut. He will be representing Sydney Sixers in the upcoming edition of the BBL.
