Ravi Shastri warns Australia of Abhishek Sharma's batting prowess

Having made a mark in the Asia Cup, Indian T20I superstar Abhishek Sharma will be hoping to exhibit his batting prowess on Australian soil when India face Australia in the first T20I on Wednesday at Manuka Oval. Young star has emerged as one of the most explosive batters in the shortest format in a short span of time. Heading into the series against Australia, Sharma will look to convert his Asia Cup momentum into sustained success. Meanwhile, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has warned Australia about Abhishek Sharma's ability and potential.
"He's a gun T20 player. If he's in for a while, there's guaranteed entertainment. Irrespective of whether you're Australian or Indian, you'll enjoy it. He has the ability to take the game away from you. You don't want him out there too long because he can create chaos," Shastri said on Fox Cricket.
Abhishek, who has to date played 24 T20Is and scored 849 runs at a strike rate of 196.08, will be playing for the first time in Australia.
"His preparation, his belief in his own ability, the range of shots that he has, and then the mindset to go out there and back himself from ball one," said Shastri.
"From the get-go, he'll go after the bowling. That's where he can be extremely dangerous, very explosive, and quietly confident about his own ability," Shastri stated.
