UP Warriorz rope in Amy Jones as injury cover for Phoebe Litchfield

UP Warriorz (UPW) have brought in England wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones as a replacement for the injured Phoebe Litchfield for the remainder of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. 

Litchfield has been ruled out after sustaining a quad injury and has returned home to begin her rehabilitation ahead of the high-profile Australia–India series, scheduled to get underway on February 15. It is a massive setback for UP Warriorz as Litchfield had been in outstanding form this season. 

Featuring in all six of the team’s matches, she emerged as UP Warriorz’s leading run-scorer, scoring 243 runs. UP have secured Amy Jones at her auction base price of INR 50 lakh. Jones carries huge experience as she has represented her England in 125 T20Is and 111 ODIs.
