India’s campaign in the ongoing tournament gathered further momentum after a commanding performance against Namibia, powered by a magical spell from star spinner Varun Chakravarthy. The mystery spinner delivered a splendid performance, picking up three wickets in two overs while conceding only seven runs. Chakravarthy’s spell not only broke the backbone of Namibia’s batting lineup but also highlighted India’s growing confidence in the bowling department. With two wins, India now shift focus to a much-anticipated showdown against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 15 in Colombo. “Obviously, every game in the World Cup is very important. We are excited for it, and it will be a fun challenge. We are also good against spin and have a good spin attack. I feel that we have the edge over them. Though they are playing in similar conditions back to back, so they might have an edge regarding the conditions, but I feel that as a group we have had the better of them, and we are well prepared,” Chakravarthy said on JioHotstar.
