Since the conclusion of the Champions Trophy last year, Shami has been sidelined due to injury concerns and fitness setbacks. With international assignments in 2026 looming, Shami’s resurgence could not have come at a better time, compelling Indian selectors to take notice of his red-hot form. Talking about the match, Bengal, asked to bat, put out a huge total of 328 all out in their first innings, with Sudip Kumar Gharami slamming 146. In reply, Jammu and Kashmir fought hard before being bowled out for 302.
