Teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi came out with a stunning display of fearless batting during Rajasthan Royals' match against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2026 on Monday in Guwahati. He blasted an explosive knock that dismantled Chennai’s bowling attack, helping Rajasthan seal an emphatic eight-wicket victory. Chennai never found rhythm with the bat, losing wickets at regular intervals and failing to build any meaningful partnerships. Their innings folded at 127 in 19.4 overs after RR bowlers Ravindra Jadeja, Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger took two wickets each.

Chasing 128 for victory, RR got off to a nice start, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal producing a remarkable show of fearless batting. In particular, teen prodigy Sooryavanshi showed breathtaking aggression, playing with incredible control. Unleashing a barrage of boundaries, he raced to a half-century in only 15 deliveries, which was the third fastest fifty in IPL history.

His innings of 52 runs came off only 17 balls, featuring a flurry of fours and big sixes that guided RR to victory in 21.1 overs. Impressed by Vaibhav's performance, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif believed that the young batter is ready to graduate to the next level.

“Last season, I thought Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was getting hyped way too early. An old-school cricketer, I believe there should be no haste in fast-tracking young players. But a year later, I think he is ready to graduate to the next level. The 15 year boy can entertain and play match-winning knocks,” Kaif wrote on X.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have made a winning start to their IPL 2026 and will face Gujarat Titans in their next match on Saturday in Ahmedabad.
