Zimbabwe set to host India in T20Is in July

Zimbabwe are set to host India in a three-match T20I series this July, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed. All matches will take place at the Harare Sports Club, with the opening game scheduled for July 23, followed by the second and third T20Is on July 25 and 26, respectively.
Both teams last met in a bilateral T20I series in July 2024, which India clinched 4-1. Recently, India and Zimbabwe faced each other during the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup 2026 in Chennai. Though they lost the match, they challenged India, with Brian Bennett delivering a remarkable unbeaten 97 while chasing a daunting total of 256.
"Matches against India always generate enormous interest and this is a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves against the world champions on home soil," ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni said.
"Following our encouraging performances at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, this series gives us a strong platform to build momentum and continue growing as a competitive force in international cricket."
Zimbabwe are also scheduled to tour India in January 2027 for three ODIs.
"It is a landmark moment for Zimbabwe to be touring India again for a bilateral ODI series after more than two decades. India is one of the premier destinations in world cricket and this tour represents both an honour and a valuable opportunity for our players," Makoni said.
"We are looking forward to competitive and high-quality cricket and we believe this engagement will further strengthen the relationship between the two cricketing nations while providing invaluable exposure for our team."
