PBKS run riot to down SRH

Shreyas Iyer shone with a dazzling 69 unbeaten, helping Punjab Kings pull off a remarkable six-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in a high-scoring thriller on Saturday in Mullanpur. Chasing a target of 220, Punjab Kings came out with fearless intent, with openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya laying a strong foundation, scoring 51 and 57 respectively.
Their aggressive approach at the top put Punjab in a strong position. Later, skipper Shreyas Iyer anchored the innings with an unbeaten 69. Iyer blasted five boundaries and as many sixes to power the side to victory with seven balls to spare.
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad had set the stage with an explosive batting display. Abhishek Sharma lit up the innings with a breathtaking 74 off 28 balls, smashing five fours and eight sixes. Travis Head scored 38 as the duo stitched a 120-run partnership.
However, the dismissal of both Abhishek and Head shifted the momentum. Punjab Kings seized the opportunity, tightening their bowling and preventing Sunrisers from running away with the game, restricting them to 219/6 in 20 overs.
