South Africa reveal squad for India T20Is, Marizanne Kapp misses out

South Africa have announced a 15-member squad for their upcoming five-match T20I series at home against India. The series is very important in the lead-up to the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The series is set to be the team’s final outing before the global tournament. One of the standout inclusions is wicketkeeper-batter Tebogo Macheke, who has earned her first-ever call-up to the national side.
She comes in as a replacement for Karabo Meso, who has been ruled out due to injury. Another notable change sees all-rounder Eliz-Mari Marx returning to the T20I fold. She replaces experienced seamer Masabata Klaas. The third and fourth T20Is will be held in Johannesburg on April 22 and 25, respectively. And the final match will be played on April 27 in Benoni.
