IPL 2026: GT gear up to challenge MI in power-packed clash

In match 30 of the ongoing Indian Premier League, Gujarat Titans are set to take on Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday. The two sides head into this match on the back of conflicting outcomes. GT are riding a wave of confidence, while MI are searching for stability. Titans have managed to turn their campaign around impressively after stumbling early with back-to-back defeats. They are finally on track following three consecutive victories.

Moreover, going into this match they will be more confident due to their excellent record against Mumbai at this venue, where they have historically dominated. Meanwhile, a major factor behind Gujarat’s revival has been the consistency of their top order. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler have been in supreme touch. With the ball, the pace trio of Prasidh Krishna, Kagiso Rabada, and Mohammed Siraj have been brilliant. They have been backed nicely by spinner Rashid Khan.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, find themselves in a challenging phase. After beginning with a win, they have slipped into a four-match losing streak, putting them under significant pressure. Their record at the Ahmedabad venue has been depressing, having failed to register a win there in previous outings.

Players like Ryan Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma are still searching for form. However, Quinton de Kock has been their standout performer so far. In the bowling department, the lack of wickets from Jasprit Bumrah has been particularly surprising, while Trent Boult has not been up to the mark.
