Abhishek's batting assault helps him claim big records

SRH batter Abhishek Sharma once again unleashed his brutal batting assault, powering the side to a rollicking 47-run win over DC in Hyderabad on Tuesday. It turned out to be a memorable night for Abhishek Sharma, who lit up the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium with his staggering batting pyrotechnics. Opening the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals, Abhishek came out with an innings that was as ruthless as it was elegant.
He remained unbeaten on 135, dismantling DC's bowling unit with a breathtaking performance. The knock featured an astonishing 10 sixes and 10 fours as he flogged DC bowlers from start to finish. During his knock, Abhishek also accomplished a few records. He raced to his century off 47 deliveries, which was the fastest hundred by an Indian in IPL history.
During the process, he also became the first Indian player to register two IPL centuries in less than 50 balls. With this hundred, Abhishek also equalled Virat Kohli's record for the most centuries by an Indian in T20 cricket and also overtook Rohit Sharma. It was also the second occasion in Abhishek's IPL career where he blazed 10 or more sixes in a single innings. Only Chris Gayle has managed this feat more times, with four such innings.
