A dazzling century by dynamic batter Abhishek Sharma powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to a dominant 47-run victory over Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring showdown in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday in Hyderabad. Asked to bat, Hyderabad’s bulk of scoring was led by their vice-captain Abhishek Sharma. The left-hander looked in complete control from the outset, bravely facing DC's bowling attack. Abhishek bludgeoned 135 unbeaten, coming off 68 deliveries and featuring an eye-catching mix of 10 sixes and 10 boundaries.

This was his second IPL hundred, coming at a crucial time, and his second-highest score in the tournament. Down the order, Heinrich Klaasen wasted no time, smashing 37* runs off 13 balls to guide Hyderabad to a massive total of 242/2 in 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s chase got off to a shaky start as Pathum Nissanka fell early. However, the innings regained some stability through KL Rahul and Nitish Rana, who contributed 37 and 57, respectively.

But the turning point came when Eshan Malinga struck twice in successive deliveries, dismissing both Rana and David Miller. That double blow halted Delhi’s momentum and put them out of the chase. Though DC had wickets in hand, they failed to recover from repeated setbacks and ended at 195/9 in 20 overs.
