IPL 2026: Superstar Virat Kohli reclaims Orange Cap
RCB superstar Virat Kohli, riding on a sensational knock of 81 in the side's Indian Premier League match against Gujarat Titans on Friday in Bengaluru, reclaimed the Orange Cap. Chasing a challenging target of 206, Kohli delivered a superb performance, scoring 81 off 44 balls to lead Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a five-wicket victory.
In his knock, Kohli struck eight boundaries and four sixes, pacing the chase to perfection. His effort was even more remarkable considering he was dropped on the very first ball and the veteran batter capitalised fully on the reprieve.
With this innings, Kohli surged past his competitors in the run charts to reclaim the Orange Cap, having 328 runs. Apart from this, Kohli also accomplished a massive milestone during his innings as he became the first player in IPL history to reach 800 fours and also entered the elite club of 300 sixes for a single franchise.
