Ishan, Abhishek heroics guide SRH past RR in thrilling win
Sunrisers Hyderabad claimed an impressive five-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals in a high-scoring battle on Saturday in Jaipur, chasing down a massive target with confidence. Chasing a target of 229, SRH lost Travis Head early. However, the chase was anchored by a superb innings from Ishan Kishan, who racked up a brilliant 74, and a dynamic 57 from Abhishek Sharma.
Their partnership laid a solid foundation, putting SRH in complete command. Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy contributed 29 and 36, respectively, as SRH crossed the finish line in 18.3 overs, sealing a memorable win.
Earlier, Rajasthan had set the stage ablaze on the back of a sensational knock from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The young batter unleashed a stunning century off only 36 balls. With this feat, he became the first player in Indian Premier League history to register two centuries in under 40 deliveries. Sooryavanshi got support from Dhruv Jurel, who contributed a brisk 51. Together, they stitched a crucial partnership that powered Rajasthan to a challenging total of 228/6 after being asked to bat.
