Iyer’s batting storm powers Punjab to big win over DC

Punjab Kings pulled off a sensational chase, beating Delhi Capitals by six wickets on Saturday at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi, after opting to bat, posted a massive total. KL Rahul played an extraordinary innings, remaining unbeaten on 152 from 67 deliveries. His knock was a masterclass, featuring 16 boundaries and 9 sixes. Alongside him, Nitish Rana added a blistering 91 off 44 balls.
Together, they stitched a massive 220-run stand to help DC pile up 264/2 in 20 overs. The splendid 152-run knock by Rahul is the highest score by an Indian batter in IPL history.
Chasing the target, Punjab started brilliantly, with openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh scoring 43 and 76, respectively. The defining moment, however, came from captain Shreyas Iyer, whose unbeaten 71 took PBKS to victory in 18.5 overs. Notably, Punjab completed the highest successful chase in IPL history.
