An incredibly thrilling clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday in Lucknow turned into a nail-biting showdown that went right down to a Super Over after both teams, fighting hard, ended with similar scores. However, the match belonged to KKR, who, showing determination, claimed an emphatic win. After being asked to bat, KKR's innings was transformed by a remarkable effort from Rinku Singh after they lost wickets at regular intervals.

His unbeaten 83 off 51 balls, filled with seven boundaries and five sixes, served as the backbone of KKR’s total. Moreover, Rinku unleashed a stunning assault in the final over. He took on Digvesh Singh Rathi, hammering four sixes, lifting the total to 155/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing 156, LSG struggled to maintain momentum as KKR bowlers kept chipping in at crucial moments. Rishabh Pant scored 42 to revive the chase, and in the end, Shami smashed 11 off 6 balls to help LSG finish at 155/8, taking the game into a Super Over. In the Super Over, KKR’s bowlers held their nerve brilliantly, restricting LSG to 1/2. Chasing a target of two in the Super Over, KKR finished the job pretty early, with Rinku Singh smashing a boundary off the very first ball.
