IND vs WI, 4th T20I: Shai Hope blasts gutsy century as West Indies crush India

India fell to a crushing 24-run defeat in the fourth T20I on Wednesday in Hyderabad, allowing West Indies to level the five-match series 2-2 and set up a series decider. Put into bat, West Indies came out aggressively, piling up a gigantic total of 247/3 in 20 overs with the help of Shai Hope, who, leading the assault, fired a splendid unbeaten century. He was at his destructive best, smashing 102* off 50 balls.
During his impressive knock, Hope blazed four boundaries and nine big sixes, giving Indian bowlers a harrowing time. Sherfane Rutherford also helped with an unbeaten 49 off 26 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer plundered quickfire 33 from 12 balls.
Chasing the target, India got a solid start, with Sanju Samson playing an important role at the top of the order. He scored 56 runs. However, India struggled to maintain that momentum as the middle order failed to make any contribution. However, Tilak Varma and Nitish Reddy tried their best to put India back in the game with determined knocks of 43 and 41; still, India could not get over the line finishing at 223 in 19.3 overs.
