England reveal XI for 2nd New Zealand Test, Jofra Archer returns

England have revealed a different-looking playing XI for the second Test against New Zealand at The Oval, making four changes to the side that registered a superb 115-run victory at Lord's. Jordan Cox and Sonny Baker have been included in the playing XI, both of whom are set to make their Test debuts.
Cox, who is a talented Essex batter, had previously come close to earning his first cap but was repeatedly denied due to untimely injuries. Now he comes into the side on the back of powerful performances for England Lions. Fast bowler Sonny Baker, on the other hand, has earned his opportunity after consistent performances in domestic cricket.
Jofra Archer also makes his return to the side, having not featured in a Test match since December. Matt Fisher also returns to the side, set to make his first Test appearance since his debut in Barbados in 2022. One notable absentee from the side is Ollie Robinson. He was quite impressive in the first Test, collecting seven wickets.
England Playing XI: Ben Duckett, Emilio Gay, Jacob Bethell, Joe Root (c), Harry Brook, Jordan Cox, Jamie Smith, Jofra Archer, Sonny Baker, Matt Fisher, Josh Tongue
