Conway returns to New Zealand's central contract list

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced the list of 20 centrally contracted players for the 2026-27 season, with Devon Conway and Blair Tickner returning to the group. The duo replaces young spinner Adi Ashok and pace bowler Muhammad Abbas, who were part of the previous contract list. 

Conway, over the past two years, was under a casual playing agreement with NZC that allowed him to participate in franchise leagues across the globe. Meanwhile, fast bowler Blair Tickner has earned a place on the contract list following consistent performances in domestic cricket. 

Meanwhile, Michael Bracewell and Mark Chapman have requested not to be considered in Test cricket rankings. They will continue to hold central contracts as white-ball specialists.
