Australia overpowered England to claim an emphatic seven-wicket win in the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 final at Lord's on Sunday, clinching a record-extending seventh T20 World Cup crown. Chasing a target of 151, Australia had a strong start with Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield slamming explosive knocks of 64 and 48 to help Australia comfortably cross the finish line in 17.1 overs.

Earlier, England, asked to bat, fought hard after a shaky start. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt led the recovery with an unbeaten 58 after openers Amy Jones and Danni Wyatt-Hodge departed for 6 and 8 runs, respectively. Freya Kemp also scored an important 44 not out to guide the side to a total of 150/4 in 20 overs. For Australia, Lucy Hamilton, Annabelle Sutherland, captain Sophie Molineux and Kim Garth each claimed a wicket to cripple England. Meanwhile, England, who were looking to win their first Women's T20 World Cup title since 2009, were left heartbroken, failing to outplay the mighty Australia.
