England name squad for Ireland ODIs, Charlie Dean to lead

England will head into their upcoming ODI series against Ireland without captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, as the star all-rounder continues to manage a calf injury that has kept her out of action for much of the summer.
Sciver-Brunt has been dealing with the issue since April. She remained absent from Englandâs assignments against New Zealand and India. However, she returned for the Women's T20 World Cup but she was forced to miss the remainder of the group stage after the injury resurfaced.
In her absence, Charlie Dean will step up to captain the side. Seam bowler Grace Potts and keeper-batter Kira Chathli have been named as uncapped players; however, they have been a part of England squads.
England women squad: Charlie Dean (capt), Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, â â Kira Chathli, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Sophia Dunkley, Lauren Filer, Dani Gibson, Jodi Grewcock, Freya Kemp, â â Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Charis Pavley, Grace Potts, Mady Villiers, Issy Wong
