Women’s Asia Cup 2026: Struggling Indonesia women take on bottom-placed UAE
United Arab Emirates women will be squaring off against Indonesia women in match 8 of the ongoing Women's Asia Cup 2026, scheduled to be held on Friday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both teams head into the match on the back of defeats in their last games, desperately needing a win to revive their campaign.
So far, Indonesia women have played two matches; however, they failed to overcome challenges posed by their opponents. They began their campaign by going against Bangladesh women, where they were bowled out for 58 in chase of 130, suffering a 71-run loss. In their second outing, they met Sri Lanka there too; they were met with a similar fate, registering a 75-run loss after being rolled over for 49 in chase of a 125-run target.
On the other hand, United Arab Emirates are also walking the same path, following their utter loss against Sri Lanka women in their opening match. After being asked to bat, UAE were bowled out for 79 in 19.5 overs after experiencing a surprise batting collapse that saw their top-order batters getting dismissed without providing much of help. Now, UAE are in desperate need of a win to keep their campaign alive.
