England complete 3-0 series whitewash over Pakistan

England secured a resounding eight-wicket victory over Pakistan in the third Test at Edgbaston on Saturday to seal a 3-0 series whitewash. The fourth day began with England needing only 130 runs for victory. Notably, Pakistan, in their second innings, had posted 449, giving them a slight chance to make England work for the result after a stunning late fightback day three.
The biggest spark came from 21-year-old debutant Razaullah, whose sensational six-hitting spree capped an impeccable Pakistan fightback. He attacked England bowlers to score 81 off 63 deliveries. He stitched a valuable partnership with Mohammad Abbas, with the pair adding 121 runs for the final wicket. The late resistance forced the match into a fourth day, but it was not to avoid a 3-0 whitewash. Pakistan's second-innings total had also been inspired by crucial contributions from Babar Azam and Shan Masood, who scored 76 and 95, respectively.
Earlier, England had taken an advantage in the first innings after bowling Pakistan out for 133. Meanwhile, England piled up 453 in their first innings, taking a big lead. Meanwhile, chasing a target of 130, England lost Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay for ducks. However, Jordan Cox and Joe Root handled the situation smartly, scoring 59* and 62*, respectively.
