Ashley Noffke named Netherlands men's head coach
Ashley Noffke has been appointed as the new head coach of the Netherlands men's side, taking charge from Ryan Cook, who is stepping down from the position in order to spend more time with his family. Noffke, who has inked a two-year contract, carries vast amounts of experience and will have the task of guiding the Netherlands through the 2027 ODI and 2028 T20 World Cup qualification.
Noffke’s playing career included appearances for Australia as well as first-class cricket in both Australia and England. He represented Queensland and Western Australia and played county cricket for Durham, Middlesex, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Noffke has had the enormous coaching experience after working in Australia, England, New Zealand and Asia.
During his time with the Brisbane Heat, he helped the women's side claim a WBBL championship and received the Coach of the Year award in consecutive seasons. He also guided Queensland Fire to a Women's National Cricket League title. He also helped London Spirit secure their first-ever Hundred championship. He also worked with the Pakistan team in 2025, joining the men's setup as an assistant coach and bowling lead.
"I'm looking forward to working with the Dutch men's team, which has become a fixture at the T20 World Cups," Ashley Noffke said in a release.
"This is a talented, motivated group, and my goal is to help continue that development and move the program forward. My approach starts with connection, before the tactic or the plan. I can't wait to get started."
