Zimbabwe name squad for white-ball series against West Indies
Zimbabwe have named their squad for the upcoming six-match white-ball assignment against West Indies, with Josephine Nkomo set to lead the side. The series will feature three ODIs and three T20Is, making it a full-blown contest.
The three ODIs, which are part of the ICC Women’s Championship, will be played at Harare Sports Club on September 24, 27 and 30, respectively. Following the ODIs, both teams will turn their attention to T20Is, which will be played on October 3, 5 and 7 at Takashinga Cricket Club.
Chiedza Dhururu and Olinder Chare have made their return to the side. Meanwhile, Pacer Kudzai Chigora has only been included for the ODI series, while Francisca Chipare will only be part of the T20I series. Zimbabwe were recently involved in a five-match T20I series against South Africa, which they lost 0-5. However, the upcoming assignment against the West Indies will give them a chance to bounce back.
