Ishan Kishan ruled out of second T20I vs New Zealand

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of India's second T20I against New Zealand due to a right adductor strain, picked up during the opening T20I on Thursday in Christchurch.
“Ishan Kishan is ruled out of the second T20I against New Zealand due to a low grade right adductor strain, which he sustained during the first T20I of the series,” the BCCI stated in a statement.
“The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress.”
In the first T20I, India secured a four-wicket victory, pulling off the highest successful chase in T20Is. Chasing a target of 326, India got off to a tremendous start after Indian openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma came out all guns blazing, scoring 67 and 29, respectively, to make full use of the powerplay.
However, Ishan Kishan endured a difficult outing, managing only one run. Meanwhile, in Kishan's absence, young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might get an opportunity to feature in the XI. The second T20I is slated to be held on Saturday at Hagley Oval.
