It was the biggest ODI win for India in the final of the ongoing Asia cup against Sri Lanka on Sunday at R. Premadasa Stadium where India beat Sri Lanka by ten wickets to lift the Asia Cup 2023 title. One of the biggest factors in India’s victory was the fierce spell delivered by Mohammed Siraj who tumbled Sri Lanka’s top batting order. Siraj returned with six wickets that earned him the massive records. Siraj looked threatening from the very outset as he claimed the wickets of all brilliant batters of Sri Lanka.

With these six wickets, Siraj became the fourth Indian bowler to return with six wickets in an ODI. Siraj also equalled a massive record by being the joint-fastest bowler to have five-wicket haul in ODIs. Siraj claimed five wickets in (16) balls. Another interesting record that Siraj recorded is that he became the bowler to take most wickets in an over in ODIs. Siraj got four wickets in an over.
