It was an enthralling period for Australian skipper Pat Cummins who led the team to their record-sixth title win of the ODI World Cup. This year has been tremendously fruitful for Pat Cummins who made sure to take the team to their World Cup title victory. Australia defeated unbeaten India in the ODI World Cup final to beg the prestigious title. This has been a career-defining moment for Australian skipper Pat Cummins who made a fascinating impact while leading his team to three important titles this year. The resilient moment for Australia came when they were able to quiten the large crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by dismantling India with regular blows. Pat Cummins had returned with two wickets in the game that also involved the wicket of Virat Kohli. Australian skipper Pat Cummins was recently asked to choose ‘deathbed moment’ “On your deathbed, in 70 years time,” what is the moment you will think of from that final?" reporter asked Pat Cummins.

“I think the Virat Kohli wicket I was obviously very pumped. And then, we’re in the huddle after that wicket, and Steve Smith says, ‘Boys, listen to the crowd for a second.’ And we just took a moment of pause, and it was as quite as a literary; 100,000 Indians there, and it was so quiet. I’ll savour that moment for a long time,” Cummins stated in an interview to The Age.

Australia had bowled out India for 240 in the final of the World Cup after asking them to bat. India had the momentum in the game with the innings from Rohit Sharma (47), Virat Kohli (54) and KL Rahul (66) but they failed to put up a fight which they had exhibited throughout the group stage games. Australia had chased down the total with Travis Head (137) and Marnus Labuschagne (58*) stitching a 192-run match-winning  partnership.
