SA-W vs BAN-W 1st ODI: Both teams look for a big start

After levelling their T20I series (1-1), South Africa Women and Bangladesh Women will be coming against each other in the first ODI match of the three-match series on Saturday at Buffalo Park. During the T20I series, Bangladesh Women recorded their 13-run win in the opening match while South Africa Women won the third and final T20I by (8) wickets to level the series (1-1). The second match of the T20I series had produced no result due to rain. The ODI series is the part of the ICC Women’s Championship Cycle as it will ascertain the qualification for the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 which will be held in India. Looking at their head-to-head in ODIs, both South Africa Women and Bangladesh Women have played (18) ODI matches against each other. South Africa Women hold an immense lead with their (16) wins of the (18) games. Bangladesh Women, on the other hand, have won two ODI games against South Africa Women in ODIs. It will be incredibly crucial series for both teams where they would look to exhibit their blazing performances to make huge gains. South Africa Women will be led by Laura Wolvaardt while Bangladesh Women will be led by Nigar Sultana.
