Indian maverick Virat Kohli claimed a massive milestone in his incredibly glittering career. During the second ODI against England in Cardiff, the legendary batter became the Indian player with the highest number of ODI half-centuries in SENA countries. Kohli's scored a composed knock of 65 runs from 66 deliveries, notching up his 30th half-century in ODIs played across South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia.

With this achievement, Kohli overtook Indian batting legends. Rahul Dravid, who previously held the record, finished his career with 29 ODI fifties in SENA nations. Sachin Tendulkar has 25, while former captain MS Dhoni accumulated 24. Mohammad Azharuddin completes the top five with 17 half-centuries. Kohli's half-century against England was his 14th score of fifty or more in ODI matches against the Three Lions, bringing him level with West Indies legend Viv Richards.

Notably, Kohli has retired from Tests and T20Is, now solely focusing on ODIs, where he carries tremendous experience and consistently remains vital. Meanwhile, India lost the game by four wickets, allowing England to level the three-match series 1-1.
