With the One-Off Test being won by India Women, both teams will now shift their attention to the three-match ODI series that is slated to commence from Thursday (December 28) at the Wankhede Stadium. India’s win in the One-Off Test match will give some edge to the team but Australia are not to be taken lightly in this format. Australia will play their ODI series against India Women on the back of their 2-0 win in the three-match ODI series against West Indies at home. One match had been washed out. Australia hold a strong record in the ODIs. India, on the other hand, haven’t had ample amount of ODI cricket. Their last ODI series was against Bangladesh in July which was levelled 1-1 as their third match had resulted in draw. Both India and Australia played the last bilateral series in 2021 in Australia which Australia won by 2-1. India will have their chance to pin down Australia amid home conditions as they have never been able to beat Australia in bilateral ODI series in India. Alyssa Healy will be leading Australia while India are scheduled to be led by Harmanpreet Kaur. It’s going to be a hugely competitive game between both teams after they possess a sophisticated lineup. Talking about their head-to-head in ODIs, both teams have played (50) ODI matches against each other, however India don’t have a good record as they have suffered defeats in (40) games while only winning (10) matches. The match will get underway at 1:30 PM (IST).

Pitch report: The pitch at Wankhede is quite friendly for both batters and bowlers, however, pacers have a decent record at this venue as they have been successful enough in taking wickets. Understandably, both teams would look to bowl first.

IND-W Probable XI: Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Yastika Bhatia (wk), Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Amanjot Kaur, Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu

AUS-W Probable XI: Beth Mooney, Phoebe Litchfield, Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, Alyssa Healy (c/wk), Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, Alana King, Darcie Brown, Megan Schutt, Kim Garth
