Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers will be facing each other in the qualifier of the Big Bash League on Friday at Carrara Oval, Queensland. Both teams will be competing for the final spot in the 13th edition of the Big Bash League. Brisbane Heat have led the top position in the points table with seven victories from their 10 games. They have suffered their defeat in one game, while two of their games have ended in no result.

Brisbane Heat, before their defeat against Perth Scorchers in the last game, had registered seven victories on the bounce that had kept them on top throughout the tournament.
