SL vs AFG 3rd ODI: Afghanistan look to end losing streak as they meet Sri Lanka in final

Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are once again scheduled to lock horns in the third and final ODI match of the series on Wednesday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka have already bagged the series after beating Afghanistan in the first and second game. With Sri Lanka leading the series 2-0, they would hope to complete the series whitewash.
This series has been somewhat positive for Sri Lanka, displaying dominance to rub off the ODI World Cup disappointment. Their comprehensive victories in the first two ODIs have showcased their depth to bounce back strongly.
Led by experienced Kusal Mendis, Sri Lanka have come up with formidable outings with the likes of Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Wanindu Hasaranga.
On the other hand, Afghanistan, known for their spirited performances, have posed a set of challenges to Sri Lanka, however they have been unable to outplay the host. There have been flashes of brilliance from players like Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Ibrahim Zadran, but Afghanistan have struggled to cope up with Sri Lanka’s challenge throughout the series.
