Bangladesh showed exemplary display of skill and determination as they booked their place into the Super Eight stage of the ongoing T20I World Cup by outgunning Nepal by 21 runs at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent. The match was marked by exceptional bowling performance from Bangladesh’s Tanzim and Mustafizur, who collectively dismantled Nepal's batting lineup that was chasing the target of 107.

Bangladesh successfully wrapped up Nepal's innings for 85 in 19.2 overs. Tanzim's impressive spell handed Bangladesh four crucial wickets, while Mustafizur supported with three dismissals, showcasing their effectiveness in restricting Nepal from attaining victory. It’s been an incredibly gritty performance from Bangladesh, who have done tremendously well to secure their place into the Super Eight.

Earlier, after being inserted to bat, Bangladesh had their own early setbacks with Tanzid Hasan, Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto making not much of an impact, losing their wickets for low scores. Veteran Shakib Al Hasan top-scored with his 17, alongside Mahmudullah, Jake Ali and Risha Hossain scoring 13, 12 and 13 respectively to guide the team to a fighting total. Chasing the total, Nepal were taken down early on by the Bangladesh’s monstrous bowling led by Tanzim and Mustafizur.

Nepal struggled really hard to put up runs against Bangladesh’s formidable bowling attack that kept applying pressure constantly. Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh tried to revive the chase with their scores of 27 and 25 respectively, but that wasn’t enough as they faltered against an outstanding bowling attack.
