On the back of his coruscating performance in the recently concluded T20I World Cup 2024, Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya has become the No.1 ranked allrounder in the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings. Hardik Pandya soared two places to go in level with Sri Lankan T20I skipper Wanindu Hasaranga. At the T20I World Cup 2024, India emerged victorious with the title victory and Pandya's mammoth contribution played a key role.

Hardik Pandya’s role in India’s campaign at the T20I World Cup was pivotal as the star allrounder delivered massive showing with both bat and ball.

In the final against South Africa, Hardik Pandya snared ever dangerous Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller to open the doors for India’s great victory. Pandya capped the tournament with 144 runs at a strike rate in excess of 150 and also claimed 11 scalps. He is the first Indian to rise to No.1 in this category.

There were other movements in the T20I rankings as well, with Marcus Stones, Sikandar Raza, Shakib Al Hasan and Liam Livingstone moving up by one spot. In the bowling rankings, South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje rose to his career-best 2nd spot. Meanwhile, player of the tournament and Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah soared up by 12 spot to settle at 12th. This is Bumrah’s highest position since 2020.
