Team India flies back home from Barbados on special flight

The Indian cricket team, after being stranded in Barbados for three days due to hurricane Beryl warnings, is finally on their way home. The team was earlier scheduled to depart for India on Sunday but due to severe weather conditions, which led to numerous flight cancellations and travel disruptions across the region, had to remain in Barbados. Team Indiaโs departure was made possible after BCCI arranged a special flight to carry the team back home.
The team is now set to travel back to India, having remained indoors for three days in Barbados due to the unprecedented storm. Since their title victory on Saturday last week, Indian team has remained in Barbados amidst the hurricane Beryl threats that made landfall here on Monday. Team India is now expected to land in Delhi on Thursday morning.
India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, won the T20I World Cup 2024 title after registering a hard-fought victory over South Africa in the final. India remained unbeaten throughout the group stage and Super Eight as they won the tournament after 17 years.
