TNPL 2024: Salem Spartans square off against Siechem Madurai Panthers

In the third match of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League, Salem Spartans and Siechem Madurai Panthers will be facing off against each other on Saturday at SCF Cricket Ground, Salem. This is both teams’ first encounter in the tournament as they look forward to having a huge start.

During the last season, Salem Spartans finished on the seventh position in the points table, winning only two games out of seven. They faced five defeats in their disastrous campaign. 

Siechem Madurai Panthers, on the other side, had a decisive campaign, qualifying for the playoffs and finishing on the fourth spot in the points table. Panthers lost to Nellai Royal Kings in the Eliminator. Heading into the new edition, Panthers would aim to make it all the way and clinch the title. Panthers are expected to record victory as they carry the edge over Spartants, having beaten them four times in their five encounters. 

Salem Spartans probable XI: R Kavin (wk), Vishal Vaidya, Shijit Chandran (c), S Abishiek, Muhammed Adnan Khan, Rajendran Vivek, Harish Kumar, M. Poiyamozhi, Aushik Srinivas, Sunny Sandhu and Ganesh Moorthi.

Siechem Madurai Panthers probable XI: Hari Nishanth (c), Suresh Lokeshwar (wk), Karthick Manikandan, NS Chaturved, Uthirasamy Sasidev, Swapnil Singh, Jagatheesan Kousik, Murugan Ashwin, Ramadoss Alexandar, Ajay Krishna and Gurjapneet Singh.
