England pace ace James Anderson bid farewell to Test cricket following England’s massive win against West Indies in the first Test on Friday at Lord’s. England had wrapped up the match with a commanding victory by an innings and 114 runs as Anderson finished his Test career with 704 wickets, the most by any fast bowler in the Test cricket history.

Anderson is only behind Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralidharan (800 wickets) and Australian legend late Shane Warne (708) wickets. Throughout his distinguished career, James Anderson has had many interesting battles against World’s top-class batters. James Anderson recalled his battle against Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli as he has got him out on seven occasions overall.

"I feel like you go so up and down. Some series you feel amazing and then the next one, you're not quite on it. Playing against [Virat] Kohli in the early days, you feel like you could get him out every ball; now, you feel like you can't get him out at all and feel so inferior," Anderson told Sky Sports.

Anderson also shed light on his tremendous career with England.

"Obviously this morning was quite emotional with the two teams lined up and the reaction from the crowd was pretty special."

"Happy that I've been lucky enough to stay injury-free pretty much throughout my career. And yeah, play for England. It's the best job in the world, so I've been privileged to be able to do it for a long time," he said.
