PAK vs Ban 2nd Test: Shaheen Afridi omitted from second Test against Bangladesh

Pakistan’s pace ace Shaheen Afridi will not be taking part in the second and final Test match against Bangladesh after being left out of the team. The second Test match will begin on August 30 (Friday) in Rawalpindi. This is a must-win showdown for Pakistan after suffering a crushing 10-wicket defeat in the first game.
The victory for Bangladesh in the first Test against Pakistan was their maiden in the longest format. Pakistan, however, have made changes to their team but Shaheen Afridi has been dropped from the second Test. Shaheen Afridi also became a father last week, having been blessed with a baby boy.
On the eve of the second Test, Pakistan named a 12-member squad, with Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza finding their places in the squad.
"Shaheen's had an interesting last couple of weeks. He's a new father. We're seeing an opportunity where we're able to allow him to go and spend some time with his family as well,” Pakistan’s head coach Gillespie said.
Pakistan squad: Shan Masood (c), Saud Shakeel (vc), Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Abdullah Shafique, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad
