West Indies name squad for Women’s T20I World Cup

West Indies have named a 15-player squad for the upcoming Women’s T20I World Cup 2024, with Deadra Dottin making her return to the side. Deandra Dottin recently came out of her international retirement, making herself available for the team. Deandra Dottin is one of the highly experienced players in the team. 

Hayley Matthews will be leading the side in the presence of other experienced players such as Stafanie Taylor and Shemaine Campbell. Overall, West Indies’ squad is packed with robust stars.

“We have a well-balanced team with a combination of experience and youth, and we believe this group has what it takes to compete strongly at the T20 World Cup. Our preparation has been thorough, and the management team has worked tirelessly to ensure the players are ready for the challenges ahead,” Head Coach Shane Deitz said.

“The players have shown great commitment and determination throughout our preparations. We are focused on executing our game plan and making the West Indies proud on the world stage.”

West Indies will kick off their campaign by taking on South Africa in the third match of the Women’s T20I World Cup on October 4.
