In joyous news for Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, the couple has been blessed with the arrival of a baby boy, according to reports. The couple, already parents to a 6-year-old daughter, Samaira, are expected to make the announcement soon.

The timing of the birth is particularly significant, as Rohit’s availability for the upcoming first Test against Australia had been in question due to the possibility of the birth coinciding with the match.

However, reports suggest that the birth of their son has come earlier than expected, which could mean the cricketer might be available for the Perth Test. The first Test match of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia will begin on November 22.
