In the 27th match of the ongoing Big Bash League, Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes will be taking on each other on Wednesday at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney. Both teams have done pretty well in the tournament, with Thunder sitting on second and Hurricanes occupying third place in the points table.

Sydney Thunder will head into the tournament on the back of a swashbuckling 5-wicket win in their last game against Brisbane Heat. Hobart Hurricanes will also enter the game on the back of a win against Adelaide Strikers in their last match.
