New Zealand Women have officially secured direct entry into the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. This comes after Bangladesh lost their final ODI match against West Indies in the ongoing series, which sealed New Zealand's place in the marquee event. Bangladesh were carrying a nice opportunity to secure direct place into the final after winning the second game to level the series 1-1. But, their loss in the third match helped New Zealand qualify.

At the end of the Women's Championship the top six teams, including hosts India, secured direct qualification for the World Cup. Bangladesh and New Zealand finished on 21 points each after 24 matches, but New Zealand finished ahead of Bangladesh in terms of victories.

Australia won the Championship, topping the points table with 39 points, while India finished a close second with 37. England (32), South Africa (25), and Sri Lanka (22) are the other teams to have secured their places for the World Cup.

Bangladesh (21), West Indies (18), Pakistan (17) and Ireland (8) will be joined in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier by Scotland and Thailand, the two other highest ranked teams as of 31 October 2024.
