DC bowler Mukesh Kumar fined

Delhi Capitals pacer Mukesh Kumar was fined 10% of his fee and handed one demerit point for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during DC’s match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He was punished for a Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the Code, which pertains to the abuse of cricket equipment.
“Mukesh Kumar admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 (Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match) and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction," the Indian Premier League said in a release.
“For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding," the release added.
Mukesh Kumar, who endured a forgettable outing with the ball on Wednesday, returned with the figures of 2 for 48 in four overs. Meanwhile, DC were thrashed by MI by 59 runs to book their spot in the IPL playoffs. They join Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings in the playoffs.
