ENG-W vs IND-W 3rd T20I: Spirited India target maiden series win vs England

Having decimated England women in the first two games, India are aiming for their maiden T20I series win against the hosts as they battle them in the third T20I match of the five-match series on Friday at The Oval. The momentum is on the Indian women’s side after their comprehensive wins in the first two games. India, who handed England a crushing 97-run defeat in the first game, are riding a wave of momentum with a 24-run win in the second game.
The series presents an excellent opportunity for the visitors to not only fine-tune their preparations in the build-up to the T20I World Cup next year but also clinch their maiden T20I series win over England. In the first T20I, India were propped up by Smriti Mandhana, who smashed a blistering century to guide India to a challenging total of 210. And, in the second T20I, Jemimah Rodrigues (63) and Amanjot Kaur (63*) intensified their attack, helping India win the game.
England, meanwhile, have struggled to find momentum, with both their batting and bowling departments failing to fire in unison. They have lacked the cohesiveness in the past two games, leading to their distressing defeats. Going into the third game, England would hope to save themselves from the series defeat and target a remarkable turnaround.
